Lessons are created with lots of loving care and with everchanging themes, experiences and activities. You will not have the same lesson twice. All activities are intended for developing physical,

social and emotional and language skills, physical coordination, awareness of surroundings and a love of music.  They also help babies get used to structured periods of focus and concentration, which is so important for further successful milestone development.

 

Since recent research illustrates that the most important time for development is the first year of life, our main goal is to incorporate many different baby activities that will build up a wealth of sensory experiences for your little one:

 

Cognitive Thinking - At this stage, lessons include using objects in many different ways, hide and seek with objects, picture recognition games, lots of fun imitation with signing and other gestures during action songs. Your little one will also continue to work on hand and eye coordination activities as they begin to use object properly.

 

Physical - Your baby should be sitting without help by this stage and possibly trying to crawl forward on their belly. We will ensure baby gets plenty of tummy time games to aid in assuming a hands-and-knees position. The next step will be helping your baby to pull themself up to reach objects and learning to stand. Next comes cruising, which is a very exciting stage.  Physical contact between you and your little one through stretching and relaxation techniques helpsto work out all those new little muscles being used.  To continue the bonding process we also include touching, cuddling and rocking games.

 

Social - At this point, your little one may seem shy or anxious with strangers, cries when you leave or may prefer certain people and toys. This is just your baby's way of learning their likes and dislikes and is perfectly age appropriate. Our free play period gives your baby a chance to choose the toys they want to explore and to begin to play socially alongside other babies of similar age. 

 

 

What happens in a class?

 

In our Creative Crawlers classes, we begin with our Mirror song where we use rhythm, movement and toys to get us excited and focused on the activities to come. Everyone enjoys learning new signs each class and the babies love expressive movement!

 

Then, we delve into some fun sensory activities that will not only be teaching you and your child how to help develop their senses and language skills but also allow you to form a closer bond with each other in the process.

 

The classes also have exploratory play time in our soft play area where babies can get familiar with a range of equipment specifically selected to stimulate your baby's senses. Meeting others with young babies and forming friendships with other parents and caregivers are also a vital part of adapting to being a parent and much of this happens during this time as well.

 

And we will end our time together, exploring our final sensory activity and singing and signing a Goodbye song.

These sessions last 40 minutes.
